GCIHS/GHHM Loaned to Rosamond Rea (Friends of Islesford Historical Museum) for repairs and exhibit May 18, 2016 through 10/15/16 and then renewal. Great Harbor Maritime Museum gave us a photo of the man who made this but they do not know his name; they consider this a white elephant as it is too big and heavy and not suited to their current interest; the loan may turn out to be permanent. The man made the model in Philadelphia; his niece had a house on Deer Isle. He visited the lighthouse & took photos, then donated it to NEH maritime museum. 26 June 2013 Gail Grandgent says that Willie said the man was a dentist. Deaccessioned 2/2/20.
