From August 13, 2018 Macfarlan family donations, catalogued at Grulich home winter 2019/2020. Many other photos unidentified and unscanned as of Dec. 5, 2019. Chris Johnston Dec. 2019 says of photo B: "I don't think that picture is of the old Hartley dock. For one thing, the mountains in the distance are all wrong. For another thing, I've attached a photo (somewhat fuzzy) of a painting hanging on a wall in my Portland house of the old Hartley dock. The painting was done by Gretna Campbell. As you can see, the dock in the painting was supported entirely on columns of granite blocks. Not so with the dock in the picture."
