Wheelwright, Esq., Northeast Harbor. Me. My dear Mr. Wheelwright: I have received the two letters from Mr. Myron Harwood. In regard to Mr. Harwood's statements it may be suggested that if they are truel t only amounts to saying that Rev. Charles E. Harwood gave almost all his own money to the chyrch and raised a good deal of money besides by voluntary contributions. There is no evidence, so far as I can see. that Mr. Harwood intended to lend any of his own money to the church. This disposes of his brother's contention that there is a right of reimbursement to a greater or less extent out of the trust funds which Mr. Harwood left for moneys which Mr. Harwood may have given to the church during his life time. I do not know whether Mr. Myron Harwood's statement as to the funds out of which the notes of his brother were paid is correct or not. If. in fact Rev. Charles E. Harwood paid the notes which he gave on behalf of the church out of the $120. and thus exhausted that sum then the sum in the Presque Isle Bank would probably belong to his personal estate and would not be a trust fund. It is all a question of the accuracy of Mr. Myron Harwood's statements and of tracing the $120. I do not understand Mr Myron Harwood's state- fallen ments about clothing.
